Alhamdulillah… on the 20th of May 2011, P2 and P3 students visited a shelter for homeless children in Tangerang. It is called “ANAK LANGIT”.
Anak Langit is located in Tanah Gocap Cikokol Tangerang. It is near Cisadane river. The place is mainly occupied by those who doesn’t have any home, doesn’t have any parents and they do not go to formal school. They don’t have the ability to do so. This is according to Brother Jon or Kak Jon, they call him a leader there.
What the students did at that place?

Students were so excited when they arrived there. The first activity, was a welcoming speech, an introduction and an explanation about Anak Langit from Kak Jon. Then, they joined an activity called LDR (Lihat Dengar Rasakan).
In that activity, students had a touring session. They walked around and observed the amazing creativities by Anak Langit. Such as; robots made from recycled things, musical instruments, paintings also workshop for unique bicycles and motor cycles and more.
About 30 minutes passed, the students sat on the ground and they learnt how to make valuable things from recyclable things. Then, they made a vase and art craft from used….read more
